Abstract
The presented experimental study for the first time shows the features of procedures for processing regular and irregular verbal morphology in patients with aphasia on the material of specially developed tests for the Russian language. The main hypotheses about the organization of the mental vocabulary and the mechanisms that provide morphological procedures, discussed in recent works, are tested. The results indicate that the formulation of hypotheses about the universal mechanisms of the organization of the mental lexicon is premature and requires interlingual research.
